Taian Elementary School in Xitun District, Taichung City, has a history of nearly 70 years. It is located near Central Park, surrounded by landmarks such as the Ke-Nan Aegean Bridge, Green Museum Park, and the Film Center. The school is renowned for its hand drum dance team, which has won numerous awards over the years. We were honored to be commissioned to design the school’s visual identity. By incorporating elements from Taian Elementary School’s original logo, we created a series of graphics that represent the school’s unique culture and nearby landmarks. This creative approach respects the original concept of the logo while highlighting the distinctive character of the school, successfully fulfilling the visual identity design objectives.

STANDARD COLOR
For the standard colors, we retained Taian Elementary School’s traditional red and blue. However, since these colors previously lacked standardized codes, we established consistent Pantone references: Red (PANTONE 485 C) and Blue (PANTONE 301 C). Additionally, we defined clear usage guidelines for these colors to ensure that the logo maintains consistent standards across all future applications. This approach enhances brand recognition and ensures visual consistency throughout various uses.
TYPOGRAPHY
For the standard typography, we specially designed a custom hand-drawn font for Taian Elementary School to reflect the school’s spirit and complement the style of the logo. This unique typeface not only harmonizes with the logo’s geometric lines but also conveys a sense of playfulness. We plan to further develop it into a cohesive identity system to be applied across various materials such as business cards, envelopes, certificates, and invitations. This design aims to highlight the unique charm of Taian Elementary School and enhance the overall consistency of its visual identity.
CREATIVE GRAPHICS
In the creative graphic design, we incorporated the geometric lines from the logo to cleverly create a series of distinctive illustrations. These graphics include dynamic poses of students performing hand drum and dance routines, as well as iconic landmarks around the campus, such as Central Park, the Ko Nan Aegean Bridge, the Green Beauty Library, and the Film Center. Our goal was to convey a cheerful and festive atmosphere. These creative illustrations will be widely applied to various materials such as business cards, envelopes, certificates, and invitation cards, fully showcasing the unique charm and welcoming spirit of Taian Elementary School.
DOCUMENT DESIGN
Finally, we applied the logo, standard colors, custom typography, and creative graphics to a wide range of administrative materials, including business cards, envelopes, certificates, invitation cards, and other promotional items. These carefully crafted designs not only showcase the unique charm of Taian Elementary School but also convey its joyful and welcoming atmosphere. This successful visual approach helps strengthen public recognition of the school and enhances understanding of its culture and surrounding environment.

By applying the above visual identity system, we significantly enhanced the professionalism of the Taian Elementary School Parent Association website. Throughout the website development process, we placed great emphasis on data collection and copywriting to comprehensively showcase the efforts and contributions of the Parent Association. This not only helps to increase parent membership but also aids in raising more funds to provide better educational resources and facilities for the students of Taian Elementary School. Through these thoughtfully crafted designs and detailed presentations, we aim to help parents and community members more deeply appreciate the value of the Parent Association and its support for the school, further promoting the school’s growth and prosperity.
