THOGCHAGS
THOGCHAGS, known as “Sky Iron,” are considered highly sacred objects in Tibetan culture. According to legend, this unique material was bestowed by celestial deities and is often fashioned into amulets worn for divine protection and blessings. Within Tibetan religious belief, THOGCHAGS are regarded as precious relics. Their forms are incredibly diverse, including ga’u boxes, scripture fasteners, Tibetan seals, mandalas, vajras, kapalas, nine-palace and eight-trigram symbols, Buddha statues, tormas, mantra plaques, arrowheads, conch shells, stupas, treasure vases, initiation mirrors, animals, and various ornaments.

CATALOG DESIGN
We were commissioned to produce a catalog featuring over 500 pieces of Thogchags (Sky Iron). During the design process, we not only had to consider how to categorize these sacred objects but also needed to conduct in-depth research into the cultural significance and historical background behind each form. This ensured the catalog would offer greater depth and value. To showcase the unique beauty of each Thogchag, we carried out professional photography from various angles, highlighting their intricate details and rarity. Additionally, we incorporated elements of Tibetan culture, blending human imagery with the Thogchags to enrich each category with cultural atmosphere and storytelling.
